The key to happiness is to free yourself from past failures and mistakes and focus on where you want to go.
Don’t focus on the negatives, focus on the positive prospects and let go of the past.
Sometimes, we bother so much and let the least things run our lives, when we should let the important things govern our lives.
Let go of your ugly past so there can be enough room for new and better things to happen in your life. Your past maybe beyond your control but you can certainly affect your future. You have to decide to live again. What is past is past!
Whatever is holding you down that makes you shudder whenever you remember it, be it physical abuse, emotional torture or spiritual attack. Refuse to remain a victim, rather use the experience to grow stronger and wiser, and let go. In the words of Joyce Meyer “God wants to give you beauty for ashes, but you have to let go of the ashes.”
Holding on to the past can only lead to frustration, anxiety and miserable life. You deserve to be happy! Set yourself free and be joyful. Joy creates an atmosphere for miracles while sorrow dries the bone. As long as your joy is intact; your destiny is intact. Let go of sorrow!
Another thing to let go of is worrying about what others want you to be. Concentrate on what you were created to be. Don’t build your life around the opinions of others. You can never satisfy people and don’t die trying to please everybody! Develop your self-worth and let in the right attitude and values.
Doing so many things at the same time can distract you. Let go of the little foxes that spoil the vine; prune some of the things that are holding you back from achieving the best in life and be focused.
Sometimes, there is so much peace that comes with letting go. Whether it’s a relationship, job or betrayal. If it doesn’t make you happy let it go. When you finally let go, something better will come along.
We all have something about our past we wish to forget. Instead of acting the victim, choose to be the hero of your life.
Don’t pretend to let go. It’s an inside job. Forgive yourself, set your heart free, deliberately choose to forget the past and learn to live again from the inside.
Lesson: You can’t take hold of your future until you let go of the past.
