HOW I SPENT MY BIRTHDAY WITH SOME SPECIAL PEOPLE.

H

God is the giver of life. I celebrate Him for another glorious year of my life under His loving care.

Sometimes, we take things for granted, but when you visit places like internally displaced persons (IDP) camps and orphanages , you would see how privileged you are to be the one paying a visit instead of being a victim. Any opportunity you have to show kindness, please do it joyfully.

There is a saying that “It is better to do kindness near home, than to go far away and burn incense.” Be your brother’s keeper.

I had the best birthday celebration today with the persons at IDP Camp, Uhogua, Benin City.

It was a time of reflection and deep thoughts of how to better the lives of the people in the camp.

They are about 3,000 displaced persons under the care of Pastor Folunsho A. Solomon, and they need the following items urgently and continuously:

  • Food supplies
  • Foot wears
  • Medications(antimalarials, analgesics, antimicrobials)
  • School materials
  • Clothing (new and/or used)
  • Cash, and
  • Whatever makes life comfortable.
