Put an end to worry in your life. You won’t ever gain anything by worrying; rather, it affects your concentration from getting anything done.
An unknown poet wrote: “Said the Robin to the Sparrow, ‘I should really like to know why these anxious human being rush around and worry so.’ Said the Sparrow to the Robin, ‘Friend, I think it must be that they have no heavenly Father, such as cares for you and me.”
According to Bob Gass, “If you seek wealth, you will worry about every pound. If you seek health, you will fear every blemish and bump. If you seek popularity, you will obsess over every conflict. If you seek safety, you’ll jump at every crack of the twig. But if you focus each day on God’s kingdom, ‘He will give you everything you need.”
Sometimes, we need to just pause and think about what we are worrying about! Most times what we actually worry about never gets to happen. Sometimes, we fear the worst from happening and fail to realize that the problem is with our thinking and not in reality. Worrying causes stress and anxiety which can cause health complications.
There is no need to worry about possessions, titles, power and positions to the detriment of your health. It’s time to take account of your blessings and be grateful! John Mason remarked ‘When you compare what you want with what you have, you will be unhappy. Instead, compare what you deserve with what you have, and you will discover happiness.’
Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? This enemy called worry disorients moods, destroys creativity, steals your peace and joy, and depletes your sense of completion which comes from within and can’t be achieved by the acquisition of things. Worrying adds to the burden of a problem. It takes your focus off what God can do and keeps it on what the devil can do.
From today, say no to worry and live in peace!
Lesson: “Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”
worry can never solve any problem.
