“Wealth is a product of man’s capacity to think.”
The ability to create wealth lies within every individual, dig deep and discover your innovative ability.
In every seed is a tree, in every girl is a prospective mother, likewise, in every man/woman is the creative ability of God because He made us in His image. If you look around at the beauty of creation, knowing that everything was created in six days, and the fact that God has given us the ability to be creative like Him (He said ‘ye are gods and children of the most high God), then we have to get pro-active and create the kind of life we desire. You do not have any pact with poverty! You only have to discover the real you and act accordingly to create wealth from within. Don’t use God as an excuse for failure, because you have been endowed with the necessary ability, power and intellect to think and walk your way out of obscurity into limelight. Oprah Winfrey, one of the most influential women in the world was born into poverty but rose to the top through diligence and doggedness.
There are so many people with beautiful ideas, but no action. Ideas without action is like daydreaming. To create wealth you have to get practical with your visions.
In every man or woman is a seed of greatness, some cultivate their seed while others consume theirs. You must be good at something! Whatever you love to do without stress or for free is probably your talent or seed of greatness. It’s your duty to nourish your seed and develop yourself to the point of relevance. How?
- Get knowledge from people that are already doing and succeeding along your path of interest. If you don’t have the opportunity of meeting them one-on-one, read their books and observe their lifestyles.
- Theoretical knowledge is not the same as practical knowledge. Get a mentor to give you a hands-on demonstration of what you seek to become, and help refine your talent. According to David Oyedepo, ‘the world is more interested in skills than certificates. Skill is required to process ideas into a finished product.’
- Don’t be myopic in your thinking. Have a free and open mind to many possibilities. A stranded mind gives birth to a stranded destiny! Think and act positively.
- If you have not failed in the past, it means you have not attempted anything. The miracle of wealth creation lies in taking action. Do something meaningful, and don’t be afraid to fail.
- Don’t approach life like a gentleman! Get desperate and fight poverty the way you fight sin. It doesn’t matter if people think you are desperate. It’s your life and you have to take it by force.
- Don’t seek for fame. Seek for relevance and contribution to mankind. Look for a problem or need to solve, in the process of meeting a need, wealth will automatically follow.
- Pay little or no attention to critics. They are good at criticizing, but not good enough to know how to create wealth. One thing you must realize is that people will always talk whether you succeed or fail. So, why not succeed and give them something good to talk about.
- Being wealthy is not a function of how educated or qualified you are, but how motivated you are to succeed in life.
- In life, there is seed time (period for acquiring relevant skills, knowledge, studying, making useful connections and preparation), and harvest time (reaping the dividends of application of sound knowledge and skills). Knowledge may be expensive, but ignorance on the long run is much more expensive.
- Every great name was once unknown. The only way to the top is to gradually move from down up. Don’t be afraid to start small. Grow your wealth gradually and remember that blessed are the days of humble beginnings.
- Don’t get involved with unnecessary craze for wealth- ritual killings, kidnapping, armed robbery etc. Come to God with confidence and ask for the grace to get wealth. Whatever He tells you to do, do it with all diligence and trust.
- Always remember that life is not a measure of how much you have in the bank account, but the lives you have impacted positively. Be rich in good works and touch lives wherever you go.
