THE A-Z OF OVERCOMING COVID-19
COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. The virus spreads from one person to another via respiratory droplets produced during coughing and sneezing. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus on it, then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth. Below is an A to Z about COVID-19.
A- Avoid crowded places. This reduces the risk of becoming infected.
B- Befriend yourself and learn to enjoy your company
C- Cough, fever and difficulty in breathing are signs of Covid-19, seek early medical attention.
D- Do not touch your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
E- Ensure you cough or sneeze into your bent elbow, tissue and not handkerchief.
F- Follow advice given by WHO, your healthcare provider, national and local public health authority. Stay informed about the latest information on COVID-19
G- Give no room to fear. The fear of COVID-19 may actually kill faster than the disease itself.
H- Have faith in God. He’s your help in times of trouble.
I- Isolate yourself for at least 14 days, if you notice you have any of the signs of COVID-19
J- Just avoid being exposed to the virus. Prevention is better than cure.
K- Keep a safe distance-at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
L- Look unto God for help. He has the final say over your life.
M- Most people (about 80%) recover from the disease without needing special treatment. Stop living in fear of the disease.
N- No specific medicine yet to prevent or treat coronavirus disease (COVID-19). So you need to avoid exposure to the virus, and maintain a high level of personal hygiene.
O- Obey and observe simple instructions on how to keep yourself safe from COVID-19
P- Practice good respiratory hygiene thereby protecting the people around you from viruses such as cold, flu and COVID-19.
Q- Query every unauthorized source of information concerning COVID-19. People spread fake news to intensify fear of the disease
R- Resist every urge for unnecessary travels and parties. You can do that later.
S- Social distancing is the main thing. Practice it
T- Take plenty of liquids, rest and sleep- very useful against viral disease.
U- Use psychological strategies to manage stress and stay positive in case you are infected. Nothing is permanent, not even COVID-19.
V- Vulnerable populations to COVID-19 are older people, and people with other medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease. Pay attention to your health.
W- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
X- X-ray your thoughts and emotions on how to fight and overcome COVID-19.
Y- You can stay virtually connected to people through phone calls, text messages, social media and video chat, and limit frequent face-to face-interactions.
Z- Zoom out the fear and misconceptions about COVID-19, and practice safety measures. Keep hope alive, cure is on the way.
This is lovely and very inspiring. God bless you.
Thank you so much.
