Complete life LIFE LESSONS THE GAIN OF PAIN.

THE GAIN OF PAIN.

The journey of life is laden with high and low tides, enjoy them all!

pain-and-gain

The pain of today may be the gains of tomorrow. Life is not a bed of roses. Sometimes, it can be tough, other times it is a jolly ride. When you go through hardship, do not see it as a punishment from God, or that you are fated for adversity. There is a popular slogan “No pain, no gain.” Just the way Gold is purified by fire, adversity can be a blessing in disguise. The most important thing is that you should not allow yourself to be consumed by your problems. God didn’t promise you a hitch-free life, but to see you through it without losing your zest for life. ‘Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.’

This true life story told by Pastor E. Adeboye, portrays the importance of being patient in adversity in order to see the dawning of a new and better day. There was this beautiful young lady who was engaged to an army officer. On the day of her wedding, she was in church on time but her fiancé refused to show up. She called him to find out the reason for the delay. He kept on promising that everything was fine and that he was on his way to the church. After waiting for hours for her husband-to-be, she realized that there wasn’t going to be any wedding. She had been ditched at the altar without any explanation. She wished the ground could just open up and swallow her in order to escape the embarrassment and humiliation.

With the help of her family, friends and church brethren, she was able to face life again, although, it wasn’t easy. Few years later, she fell in love with another army officer, a lieutenant colonel, and this time, they got married. Her husband adored and loved her so much. Not long after the wedding, a new aide-de-camp (ADC) was posted to her husband, but surprisingly, the ADC happened to be her ex-fiancé who jilted her in a very disgraceful manner. This ADC had to open the car door for her, be at her beck and call and even do menial jobs for her. He virtually was like her servant. Sometimes, things happen for a reason.

When you have done all you need to do and still don’t get the desired result, keep hope alive. The God we serve sees the end from the beginning, and He’s working out everything for your good. Even if you have been treated unjustly in the past, keep a positive attitude and be enthusiastic about your future. Nobody can destroy your happiness without your cooperation.

Refuse to be a victim of life!

Lesson: Everything happens for a reason! Some challenges are there to lead you to greatness. Without Goliath, David would never have been a king in Israel.
