GOOD PHONE MANNERS
The following are some phone manners you should observe to have a
rewarding and useful conversation.
Be polite on the phone and speak clearly
When you pick up a phone call, don’t harass the caller by saying
“Who is this” or ‘Who are you” instead say “Hello, this is Mercy”
For safety sake (due to scammers) and if the caller is not one of your contacts,
When you pick up a phone call, you may say “Hello, may I know who I am speaking with?”
If you are the one making a call, you can speak more, but if you are receiving a call,
try to listen more because it’s somebody’s airtime.
It is rude to cut the call on a caller (except for scammers) when they are still speaking.
Instead, say “May I call you back? I’m busy right now.”
When the conversation seems over, wait for the person who called you to cut the call,
if he doesn’t, then cut the call.
Some people have missed golden opportunities because of bad phone manners.
Additionally, don’t spend all your time on phone calls. You can monetize your phone by
doing business and other genuine activities online.
