Preparation comes before appointment. Not appointment before preparation.
Sometimes, you want something so bad but you’ve not worked on yourself enough to handle the blessing when it eventually comes. If that which you seek happens sooner without a period of preparation, it will not be a blessing but a burden. You want to have a baby but are not willing to go get pregnant because of the stress involved. Pregnancy is an uncomfortable process but necessary for giving birth to a new life. If you dodge the process you miss the blessing. If you try and shorten the period of pregnancy from 9 months, you might end up with a premature baby.
Whatever you want to achieve in life, there is a period of preparation involved. The process may be uncomfortable but not impracticable. It’s your willingness to go through the process of preparation that entitles you to the throne. It doesn’t really matter how insignificant that job you are doing right now, or how small your beginning is. What is important is, how prepared are you to journey through the wilderness in order to make it to the Promised Land.
Are you interested in a particular profession? Then go to school and get the required knowledge. You want to be a business man, get a mentor that has succeeded in that particular business and learn under him until you become competent enough to be his mate. Even if the process is not exciting, be faithful and willing to go through it to actualize your destiny. You want to get married? Then you have to be ready physically, emotionally, and spiritually to share your life with another person without reservation.
In the school of preparation, don’t envy anyone. People have different callings in life, and so different classes of preparation. First and foremost, you need to understand what your mission is, and then prepare yourself in line with it. Some persons can take over a decade to prepare for a particular job while some less than that. Take for instance, an Elephant is pregnant for about 2 years while the dog just 60 days. But can you compare the worth of a baby elephant to a dozen of puppies. Don’t be discouraged by the process, keep doing the right thing with all diligence and determination, sooner or later, you will definitely get to the top.
Be rest assured that your environment doesn’t determine your greatness, but your level of preparation does. Once you are prepared mentally, physically and spiritually, then God can propel you into your destiny faster than you thought.
So, get prepared for the top!
Lesson: The height of your success in life is largely dependent on your preparation. Nobody ever plans to fail, but this happen if you fail to prepare to succeed.
